Youngsam Yu established the architectural firm in 2007. He earned his Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. His architectural education was influenced by Daniel Libeskind and Enrique Norten.
His firm boasts a portfolio with residential and commercial spaces as far away as Japan, and South Korea, but are most prevalent on the east coast of the United States including Philadelphia (PA), Long Island (NY), Greenwich (CT), New York City (NY), and Bergen County & Morris County (NJ).
Sohee Kim, Interior Design Director
Sohee Kim is a new york city interior designer with more than 15 years of experience. She joined Soyu Architecture in 2007, and has been managed interior design dedicated to complementing the firm's architecture.
Her vision is integral to the design of hospitality projects, high-end residences and corporate office interiors.
She earned a bachelor's degree in Interior Design from the Parsons School of Design.
Jiyoung Choi, Associate Principal, Expeditor
Jiyoung Choi holds a professional architectural degree from a University in South Korea, and has more than 22 years of working experience. Since coming to New York, he has designed and managed various projects, which have included high-end residential condominiums, a number of private houses, multiple retail stores and restaurants.
Minjung Kim, Project Manager, Interior Designer
Minjung attended the Seoul Institute of the Art in South Korea, obtaining her bachelor's degree in Interior Design. In the 13 years that followed, she has gained working experience in Hotels, resorts, commercial and high-end residential projects.
Sewon Chun, Project Architect, Job Captain
For 7⁺ years, Sewon has worked in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut designing residential, commercial, and other project types. She received a Bachelor degree in Architecture from the Pratt Institute.
